Introduction

Innovation and creativity are what trigger economic growth and culture in our times. Our everyday life is constantly surprised by increasingly disruptive technology and our habits are influenced by aesthetic preferences of the products and services we consume.

Technology is indispensable, art seduces us and we rely on the reputation of brands.

Behind all this are patents, industrial designs, trademarks and copyrights, protecting proprietary rights righteously recognized for those who have made an effort to innovate, to create. These are assets that constitute the basis of the economy in the fourth industrial revolution and the cornerstone for the success of numerous companies.

Intellectual property deals with the protection, administration and defense of all these rights, and we at Bufete Soriano ® are experts in this field.

Services

Trademarks

Whether dealing with the most traditional concept of a trademark or novel trademarks with sound, smell or the trade dress of a business, trademarks continue to be the most powerful tool with which a business can create a connection with consumers, gain their trust and therefore sell its products or services, making them a consumer favorite.

We at Bufete Soriano ® Intellectual Property have vast experience in protecting and auditing trademarks and portfolios of all kinds of distinctive symbols, both domestically and abroad.

Our profile and preparation also give us a degree of solvency and a solid reputation in litigations dealing with these kinds of rights that we defend vigorously on behalf of our clients.

Patents and industrial designs

We couldn’t have imagined the technological progress – the fruit of knowledge acquired over the centuries – without a valuable system of awards and scientific disclosure that patents have given us.

It would also be hard to conceive of a world without legal mechanisms to protect and defend the aesthetic side of products, i.e. their shape, colors and general appearance, all of which play an essential role in commercial success.

We at Bufete Soriano ® Intellectual Property have experience with important successful cases in the fields of patents, industrial design and other legal alternatives (such as utility patents), enabling us to plan protection strategies at the domestic as well as international sphere.

For further information about our services, take a look at the following brochure explaining these kinds of legal alternatives.

Intellectual Property Litigation

Not unlike other kinds of property, trademarks, patents and industrial designs may be exposed to illegal conduct; they may be appropriated or used unlawfully by a competitor or affected by unfair competition in its many shapes and forms. There may also be involuntary violations of third party rights, and all the above cases require the necessary attention of specialists.

In some cases an intelligent negotiation strategy may suffice. Nevertheless, in many other cases, restitution of violated rights may only be achieved through energetic litigation.

We at Bufete Soriano ® Intellectual Property are experts in these kinds of litigation. We have accumulated experience and have won in these matters at court. We have even set legal precedent used as guidelines for judgments in other similar cases throughout the country.
